Highly Awarded team of Chef Tim Tibbitts and Sommelier Rebecca Tibbitts are two of the most prominent restaurateurs in The Bahamas, having taking their flagship restaurant Flying Fish to #58 in the World in 2016. The 7 time AAA 4 Diamond award winning restaurant changed in 2017 to Flying Fish GastroBar to reflect the islands changing economy. Now more popular than ever, Flying Fish GastroBar is a staple in the Grand Bahama community.
With L’Elmo Di Ottone we hope to bring you the exceptional food, service and beverage program you would expect from the Flying Fish team, but with a distinctly Italian flare. L’Elmo Di Ottone translates to “The Brass Helmet” which is a homage to the original restaurant built on this site 50 years ago. Also the many divers of Italian heritage who came to these islands looking for sponge to export back to Europe. We look to honor the culture and the flavors that have made Italian cuisine one of the most popular in the world.
